The pan when first removed

And after a bit of cleaning

The width across the curve is supposed to be 4 7/8 inches

The front needed a bit of tweaking to get it there

The leak can be seen where the cork is supposed to push against the block

After the leak is found the rest of it looks pretty nice under there

Heads ground off these 5/16 - 18 x 2 bolts make great dowel alignment pins
Screwed into the block second in from the end on each corner,
the sump can be aligned and pushed straight up ino position

Or so I thought, the steering shaft needs its guide undone so it can be pulled out of the way

With the sump tightened back in place and the steering shaft back where it normally resides

The front motor mount has been loose at some point since it was built 70 years ago

The narrow front parts tractor had that piece with holes that had never been used

The oil pan gasket no longer leaks but a drip pan is still needed under the hydraulic hose
