Getting the engine back in is always a big step
Then there's the water pump, manifold, carb, muffler, oil filter mount etc.
With the radiator in place it starts to look like it's getting somewhere
But there are a lot of control rods, hoses, etc. that need to be in place now
I want the wiring all done before the fuel tank goes on
It's always good to see the lights come on when the switch is pulled
With the set-screw pointing down and #1 on compression stroke, it's at TDC
TDC puts the mag drive at horizontal
Since the spark while running is 30 degrees before TDC,
the mag coupler is horizontal when the rotor is just after the #1 lug molded in the cap
It starts up as if it had run just yesterday
The oil pressure looks good
Then its out for a photo shoot where we see how tall the corn is on July 11th
With the hood and some decals on we see how tall the corn is on July 13th
Straight across letters began in 1950 so this still gets the long A long S decal
and no WD moniker on the radiator that didn's start until spring 1951
I've had this for over a year now...
It's time for a movie clip
