Ouch, This doesn't look good
Cleaned up
And what the chunks look like, 7 broken rollers and some misc. cone parts
The culprit can be seen with the camera inserted and a chance pointing to the right spot
The rollers had climbed up on each other and broke the bearing race
The housing was also broken making it unusable
This is the housing that contains the serial number, which will have to change now
We found one in a similar date range that has only been laying open for 30 years
A cutting torch was needed to get the brakes out which needs to happen to get the finals off
What the only brake parts still installed in this rear end looked like after removal
The transmission parts needing to be removed also required the torch to help things along
And a newer rear end from Lon Saeger hopefully will have good internals
A battle with mouse nests and several dried dead mice, but the brakes came out
The differential looks good
The transmission parts will need cleaning but also look nice
