The WD until S/N 24801 had a small right side footrest so the left brake pedal rested against a stud where we see this broken one
I drilled a hole through it and since it wasn't rusted tight the easy-out actually took it.
With a partially threaded 1/2 - 13 bolt modified and installed the brake lever meets it perfectly
The right brake pedal used the hydraulic bracket for its stop
I didn't take a picture of the contact edge wear before welding it up and making it square again
The contact edge on the bracket was also worn away, I welded on a low profile hex nut to make up for any sag
Seen on a newer tractor is the updated right footrest which acts as the stop for both brake pedals
The new footrest was the dealer fix so many of the early WD tractors have had the right footrest replaced
Both brake rods broke off when removed. Laid out here with the broken end to show original length
I used 3 inch partially threaded bolts overlapping about 3/4" for weld strength to repair.
One brake pin was a real bear to get out, the end pulled off so I had to drill and tap it for a 3/8 bolt
The brake actuating assemblies cleaned, broken rod ends removed. Now painted and ready
Lots of small pieces cleaned up and primed waiting for the outdoor paint booth to open
Some larger parts cleaned and primed
And some that were ready before the weather turned
