I had to disturb the critters in this parts rearend from a 1943 WC

Just to get this Dowel Collar that was missing

What it looks like cleaned up

I had to make a gasket to start reassembly, I mis-punched one hole

It fit like it was made for it

What the dowel collar looks like in its tapered hole

And finally out for paint

Two studs were broken on one of the drop-box covers, the replacements shine

Paint is always a reportable progress step

The 1934 parts book lists 22 U-2616 Drive Gear Cover Reinforcement pieces,
this had 24, there could be 26, later tractors didn't use them at all.

This piece is almost ready for the paint booth

It was suspended high for painting but lowered for drying, the inside is coated to stop flash rust.
I made use of an old shift tower to keep paint out of the gears.

Seeing it start to go back together even a little feels good
