March of 2010 I took another pump to Dave Ferguson's Diesel service in Austin MN.
Another great day, I got to help assemble and test a second pump with Dave.
The pieces that can break in a PSB pump
if the Plunger breaks you are pretty much out of luck and can start looking for another pump head
The small C shaped clip can be replaced Gary Agrimson makes them
What a good drive clip looks like in place
The broken clip doesn't leave much room for the plunger to slip by
Some of the new parts we used
The disassembled pump all laid out for pictures
Dave pressing some parts with the special tools
The special tools made just for working on these pumps
There is a special tool for holding the pump in a vise, and the screw to hold the rotor correctly
Seen from the bottom this verticle shaft is driven by the main rotor
Seen from the top it is what spins the plunger the halfmoon cut-out needs to face out to remove the head
Here we see it more clearly outside the pump
Alignment screw holds rotor in proper position the head is installed marked tooth lined up with casting mark
The governor actuator with a newly rounded edge
With the rod attached
The assembled pump mounted to the test station
The completed pump all sealed up ready for paint
