A few more pieces have been bead blasted and painted
Lots more to go but it's a start

The original 34 steering wheel looks nice back in place

It needed a new shaft since the original had worn badly by the U-joint, been cut off, new hole drilled
and worn out again. Measuring my fairly low hour 39 WC the shaft was made 69.5 inches long.

I think maybe the engine can be installed next!

I rebuilt Engine W312 eight years ago

It still looks good under the rocker arm cover

The paint is fresh from yesterday

The Clutch Doctor did a complete job on this nine years ago, it's finally mounted on the engine

I used a clutch shaft from the parts bin to align the friction disk before tightening

Then the release fingers need to be adjusted to 1 and 31/32" from the grease slinger plate

The shop hoist lowered the engine into its place and it's bolted securely to the clutch housing

I measured for shims from a later timing gear cover the 34 I see is thinner but it will be fine

The front support is torqued in place

And the flywheel cover plate is mounted
