What the transmission looked like when first opened
A look at the transmission countershaft and reverse shaft
Amazing what leaving the drain plug out a couple days will do
Actually the drain plug had been out several weeks before
the top picture, and there was quite a lot of cleaning to do.
New bearings and a couple shims tightened it up properly.
The gears are OK but the bushing on second gear, is quite worn on the inside.

With a new bushing under second gear, a new 3-4 sliding coupler, and new bearings.
